GALLAHER & BIRCH, INC., formerly known as Hedg-peth & Gallaher, Inc., was established as The Hedg-peth Company in 1967 by C. George Hedg-peth, MAI, who had been both a staff appraiser with The McCune Company and chief commercial appraiser with Dade Federal Savings and Loan Association. The company is a full service appraisal firm completing valuation reports for all types of real estate ranging from single family residences to apartments and hotels, vacant land to shopping centers, industrial properties and office buildings.

We are approved appraisers for a number of local lending institutions as well as for the State of Florida, Miami-Dade County and the cities of Miami, Coral Gables, Miami Beach and Hialeah. Our corporate clients range from local builders and developers to national and international corporations and we have completed assignments for some of the largest and most prominent south Florida law firms.

The predominance of our appraisal assignments over the years has been for properties located in Miami-Dade, Broward or Monroe Counties. By generally limiting the area of practice to South Florida, but addressing the analysis of all types of property from vacant land to complex, multipurpose commercial developments, the company has been able to assure a consistent high level of service to its clients.

In addition to appraising property for lending, eminent domain, probate and corporate decision purposes, we have served a number of clients as consultants, aiding in real estate related decisions for corporations, religious institutions and governmental agencies.  We are also qualified to serve as review appraisers for lending institutions and others that may need such service.  We are prepared to provide appropriate references and a list of representative appraisal clients upon request.

Either through its individual appraisers or corporately, the company is an approved appraiser for a large number of local lending institutions as well as for the Federal National Mortgage Association, the State of Florida, Miami-Dade County and the cities of Miami, Coral Gables, Hialeah and Homestead.
